Who should take an Online Course?

  1. Any applicant who has already been registered by the admissions office
  2. How do I select a course?
  3. The course to select will depend on your preference and minimum qualification to join the preferred course, you can then either apply online or download application, fill scan and send to admissions@cuk.ac.ke
  4. Are there prerequisites or language requirements?
  5. Every course/programme has minimum admission requirements. Please check courses offered under IODeL in the website and confirm minimum requirements
  6. I am a high school student, can I join?
  7. Yes you can join preferably if you have the self-drive to learn with minimum intervention by facilitators
  8. Can I take more than one course at a time?
  9. Not really. You have to complete one course before you may progress to another
  10. How do I register?
  11. A. After you have been admitted, check fee structure under IODeL, pay in the specified University bank account then contact admissions@cuk.ac.ke
  12. When should I register?
  13. At the beginning of every semester
  14. My payment did not go through. What do I do?

  16. Can I get a refund if I am unable to attend my Online Course?
  17. Inform directoriodel@cuk.ac.ke and copy admissions@cuk.ac.ke so that your fee may be officially deferred to the next semester. This must be done early in the semester. Late cases will not be considered.
  18. I am registered. Now what?
  19. Report to IODeL Office in Karen Campus or email directoriodel@cuk.ac.ke so that you are assisted to enroll in the relevant units

  22. How long is my course?
  23. Certificate- Minimum of 2 years (3 semesters) Diploma-Minimum of 2 years (5 semesters) Bachelors-Minimum of 4 years (8 semesters). Masters-Minimum of 2 years (4 semesters). PhD-Minimum of 3 years.
  24. How many students are in a course?
  25. After logging in elearning system and selecting the unit, select participants and view your class members
  26. How does Online Learning work?
  27. In every enrolled unit, you will find notes to study, assignments and CATs to do and activities to carry out
  28. Do I need specific equipment to take Online Courses?
  29. Yes you need a personal computer and internet connectivity
  30. How do I contact technical support during my course?
  31. You will be added to a whatsapp group as soon as you register but you may also email to directoriodel@cuk.ac.ke
  32. Is there an orientation for online students?
  33. Yes. After admissions, new students are always invited for a comprehensive orientation
  34. Do I need to buy textbooks?

A.In the course outline, reference texts/ course texts and journals are specified. These may be accessed through eresources or physically in the library. Contact librarysupport@cuk.ac.ke
