Types of Submissions
There are different types of submissions. They include:
- New/Original Study: This is a proposal going through an initial review on the CUK – ISERC platform.
Documents Required:
- Cover letter listing all submitted documents (Mandatory)
- The proposal, including the declaration page signed by the Supervisors (Mandatory)
- Participant Information Sheet and consent form (the letter of introduction is not sufficient) (Not applicable to Desktop studies)
- Study Budget (Mandatory)
- Study tools to be used i.e. questionnaire, FGD guide, etc.
- The CV of the applicant/researcher/Principal Investigator(Mandatory)
- Evidence of payment (kindly note, that documented evidence of payment should be sent to this email address: cukiserc@cuk.ac.ke) (Not applicable to CUK Studies)
- GCP or Ethics Training Certificates
- Plagiarism Report (Mandatory)
- Study Amendment: This pertains to any modifications to a CUK-ISERC-approved research study, including changes in recruitment and data collection procedures, research personnel, sponsor or funding agency, project study site, study design, or any alterations to the informed consent.
- Study Extension/Re-approval: All ongoing or active studies are required to secure re-approval after one year.
- Progress report: This is an annual report by projects with ethical clearance detailing activities carried out within that specified reporting period.
