Abstract

This study explores the reintegration experiences of women in Kenya after obstetric fistula surgery using grounded theory methodology. The research demonstrates that women may fully reintegrate, partially reintegrate, fail to reintegrate, or begin new integration away from their former social settings.

The findings emphasize the need for comprehensive post-surgical support that includes physical, psychological, social, and economic recovery interventions.
