Addressing members of staff and students of the Wildlife Club at the University, Mr. Nyamu lamented the declining numbers of elephants in Kenya since 1979 noting that over the period of 40 years, the elephants’ numbers in Kenya has reduced from 167,000 to about 38,000- 30,000 signifying that elephants may vanish in Kenya in the next few years.
