Varsity meets C.A.K and Germany’s Ministry of Agriculture and Food

The Co-operative Alliance of Kenya (CAK) is collaborating with the Germany Ministry of Agriculture and Food (FMAF) to a project to strengthen governance and value-addition in agricultural Co-operatives in Kenya. Both parties have agreed to work with the Co-operative University College of Kenya in key areas of the project. The purpose of the meeting was to enable CAK and FMAF to brief CUCK on the proposed project and get the commitment of CUCK to participate in it. Professor Douglas Shitanda, The principal CUCK, welcomed the guests to the Co-operative University College of Kenya (CUCK) and assured them the University’s commitment to collaborate with development partners to strengthen Co-operatives, Co-operative studies and research in Kenya. He stated that the core business, and indeed the mission, of CUCK is capacity building for the Co-operative Sector in Kenya and its associated industries.
