Mmata is the Principal Human Resource Manager at The Co-operative University of Kenya. Prior to her appointment to this position, Mmata served as a substantive Assistant Registrar, HR. She also served as Administrative and Senior Administrative Assistant Human Resource at the Jomo Kenyatta University Agriculture and Technology, a position she had served from 2007 to 2013. Prior to her career at the University, she served briefly as a graduate teacher at Cedar Grove Academy.
She holds a Higher Diploma in Human Resource of the College of Human Resource Management (CHRM), where she is a full member, a Master Degree Business Administration of the Jomo Kenyatta University Agriculture and Technology. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She has undergone an array of professional trainings including an authority certification training program for addiction professionals, an ISO 9001: 2008 Quality management system awareness and internal quality auditors. She has also undergone a full basic counselling course.
