Minimum University Entrance Requirements

The minimum admission requirements for all programmes in CUK are as guided by the Kenya National Qualification Framework (KNFQ):

            (a) Bachelor’s Degree Qualification (level 7)

          The minimum admission requirements shall be:

  1. i) a mean grade of C+ (Plus) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examination or its equivalent
  2. at least two Principal Passes in the Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education examination; or
  • completion of KNQF level 6.

(b) Post-Graduate Certificate/Diploma Qualification (level 8)

          The minimum requirements shall be:

  1. i) a bachelor’s degree from an accredited education institution.

(c) Masters Qualification (level 9)

          The minimum requirements shall be:

  1. a bachelor’s degree from an accredited education institution, provided that the applicant satisfies the minimum requirements for admission to a Bachelors’ degree qualifications level.

(d) Doctorate qualifications (level 10)

The minimum requirements shall be a master’s degree from an accredited education institution or completion of KNQF level 9.

 

 Procedure of application for admission to the University

Application for admission to the university is mainly done through the university’s online application system on our website: www.cuk.ac.ke by going through the following simple steps: registration of the applicant; payment of the application fees; selection of the course; filling of the applicant profile; uploading of certificates; and finally, the completed application is submitted to the admissions office for processing. Alternatively, this can be by downloading the application form from our website, manually filling it and delivering it to the admissions office physically or through postal system. Admissions Committee considers the applications and makes a decision based on requirements for each course applied for after which the decision is then communicated to the applicant.
