Rationale of the Programme
A Needs Assessment survey carried out indicated a strong need for graduates with in depth knowledge of higher qualification in Business Administration.
Specific skills need included:
- Ability to assimilate knowledge and deal with complex matter in business
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A thorough understanding of the relevant research methods in the field of study
- A Needs Assessment reports
For the trainees to assimilate knowledge and deal with complex matters in business, the teaching methodology to be adopted will be practical oriented with presentations in every course unit. In order to have a thorough understanding of the research methods, the research methods unit was split into qualitative and quantitative.
Admission and Qualifications
Candidates wishing to study for Doctor of Philosophy degree must satisfy any of the following minimum requirements for the university senate and board of post graduate regulations
A candidate must satisfy any of the following minimum requirements:
- Be a holder of Master’s Degree in Business Administration from CUK or its equivalent from a recognized institution/ University
OR
- Be a holder of a Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline from CUK or its equivalent
from a recognized institution/university.
OR
- Completion of KNQF level 9.
The medium of instruction will be English language.
